This course is a curation of recent research on considerations for the “how” of providing therapy. It will zoom in close with strategies for broaching, relational depth, and effectiveness of DBT and EMDR. Then it will zoom out, taking a broad perspective on the philosophical and cultural approaches to counseling and how they affect the counselor, clients, and the counseling profession.

Program Learning Objectives:

Participants will acquire the knowledge provided in recent research concern the topic of therapeutic technique.
Participants acquire supplemental knowledge to support implementation of the content.
Participants will rehearse and apply the knowledge with a flashcard content review prior to quizzes.
Participant knowledge will be demonstrated in multiple choice assessments.
Passing the quizzes with 80% will automatically generate a certificate of course completion. Quizzes may be re-taken until passed.
