This course explores how effective counseling not just helping clients, but helping clients in a way that preserves and strengthens the counselor. The recent research for this course explores the unique stressors that counselors experience and strategies for sustaining wellness.

Program Content Description: Participants will read about issues concerning counselor wellness from recent research. The research articles are supplemented with additional content to support implementation of the findings.

Program Learning Objectives:

Participants will acquire the knowledge provided in recent research concerning counselor wellness.
Participants acquire supplemental knowledge to support implementation of the content.
Participants will rehearse and apply the knowledge with a flashcard content review prior to quizzes.
Participant knowledge will be demonstrated in multiple choice assessments. Passing the quizzes with 80% will automatically generate a certificate of course completion. Quizzes may be re-taken until passed.
