Cultural adaptation empowers counselors to use effective treatment programs in a way that is individualized to a client’s needs. The recent research in the course provide questions to ask and adaptation to consider when fitting quality treatments with individuals or groups.

Program Content Description: Participants will read about issues concerning culturally-adapted treatment from recent research. The research articles are supplemented with additional content to support implementation of the findings.

Program Learning Objectives:

Participants will acquire the knowledge provided in recent research adapting treatments to better fit an individual’s culture.
Participants acquire supplemental knowledge to support implementation of the content.
Participants will rehearse and apply the knowledge with a flashcard content review prior to quizzes.
Participant knowledge will be demonstrated in multiple choice assessments. Passing the quizzes with 80% will automatically generate a certificate of course completion. Quizzes may be re-taken until passed.
